About OCONN Studio
OCONN Studio is the photographic practice of British–Irish artist George O’Connor, crafting imagery at the intersection of silence, structure, and soul.
Rooted between Liverpool and Leipzig - two cities shaped by raw industry and cultural introspection - his work is informed by a triad of influence: the sculptural simplicity of Scandinavian design, the contemplative clarity of Japanese and Korean aesthetics and the Bauhaus legacy of form serving function. This quiet confluence shapes a style defined by restraint, resonance, and refined construction.
Each frame is not merely taken, but built - composed like architecture, distilled like poetry. Mood, shadow, and negative space are treated as materials, not afterthoughts. Stillness is not absence, but presence, held and shaped.
Working alone, often with analogue tools and a monastic focus, O’Connor creates photography that feels sculpted rather than shot. Minimalist, but never cold. Conceptual, yet tactile. Emotional, without spectacle.
OCONN Studio serves individuals, artists, curators and brands seeking refined, concept-driven photography - work that lingers in the mind long after the shutter has closed.
This is photography as space.
