George O'Connor — Self-portrait, 2025
About OCONN Studio
OCONN Studio is led by British–Irish photographer George O’Connor, based in North West England and working across the UK and internationally. Rooted in a multidisciplinary practice, the studio balances artistic sensitivity with technical precision, producing imagery that is clean, modern, and emotionally resonant.
George’s work spans portraiture, commercial and advertising commissions, architectural and interior photography, and documentary-style reportage. His approach is guided by narrative rather than genre: every project begins with understanding the client’s identity, message, and visual intent. The result is work shaped not by formula, but by purpose.
Influenced by the clarity of Scandinavian design, the disciplined elegance of Japanese and Korean aesthetics, and the functional ideals of the Bauhaus, George creates images defined by structure, restraint, and character. His photography favours thoughtful composition, sculpted light, and a calm visual atmosphere, imagery built to strengthen brands and elevate storytelling.
Known for a measured, collaborative presence on set, George believes that strong images emerge from trust, clarity, and shared vision. He treats light not as decoration but as architecture, using it to reveal form, mood, and the essential truth of a subject.
George O’Connor is an Associate Member of the Association of Photographers (AOP) and a member of the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce.
