MSP Global: A Portrait of 25 Years

I was honoured to be invited to photograph MSP Global’s 25th anniversary celebration - a significant milestone for a company that has spent the last quarter-century quietly running the show behind some of the UK’s biggest live, virtual, and hybrid events.

The party took place in the Skybar at the INNSiDE by Meliá Liverpool Hotel, a space with skyline views and a warm energy that matched the tone of the evening. No stiff networking, no forced formality. Just real conversation, loud laughter, and a deep sense of pride in what MSP has built.

Founded by Colin Reader and Lisa Richards in South Africa, now firmly rooted in Liverpool, MSP Global has grown into one of the country’s most respected names in event production. Their client list includes the likes of BBC Studios, Red Bull, Liverpool FC, The Royal College of Art, and many others working across media, fashion, education, and culture. It’s the kind of company that makes complex things look effortless, and the kind of people you want in the room when the stakes are high.

From a photographic point of view, I was there to capture more than just the surface. Yes, there were speeches and skyline shots, but what I was really looking for were the smaller details - the personal exchanges, the spontaneous moments of joy, the things people forget were being seen.

What follows is a curated set of images from the evening: an intimate portrait of a company celebrating not just success, but connection, resilience, and the people at the heart of it all.
